Your Healthcare Advocate

As a candidate for Hospital Commissioner, I am committed to ensuring that our healthcare system remains accessible, accountable, and compassionate for every member of our community.

With over 50 years of experience in healthcare, public service, and business, I understand both the challenges and the opportunities facing our hospital system. I believe that everyone—regardless of income, background, or zip code—deserves high-quality care delivered with respect and dignity.

If elected, I will work to:

  • Strengthen transparency and fiscal responsibility in hospital governance
  • Support frontline healthcare workers with the tools and staffing they need
  • Expand access to preventive care and mental health services
  • Ensure our hospital remains responsive to the needs of a growing and diverse population

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and rooted in listening to the people we serve. I will be a strong advocate for patients, families, and staff—and I will work every day to keep our healthcare system strong, sustainable, and centered on community well-being.

Together, we can build a healthier future.

My Priority List

As your Hospital Commissioner, I am focused on expanding access, improving services, and ensuring responsible financial stewardship. My priorities include:

1. Expand Primary and Specialty Care Services -

Increase availability of essential primary care and specialty services to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.

2. Develop an Outpatient Surgery Facility -

Establish a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center to provide the most common and necessary surgical procedures locally—reducing wait times and the need to travel for care.

3. Improve Geographic Access to Care -

Enhance access to urgent, primary, and specialty care by:

  • Building a new, modern medical center on the current Snoqualmie hospital campus
  • Opening a new, full-service clinic in North Bend to better serve residents across the valley

4. Financial Stewardship

Continue my active role on the Finance Committee to ensure we responsibly fund these service expansions. I will work to:

  • Minimize unnecessary expenses
  • Stay within approved budgets
  • Maximize the impact of every dollar spent

I am committed to strengthening our hospital district for the future.

Meet the Candidate

I’ve spent my life serving others—first as a high-tech executive and CEO, then as a Fire Commissioner and volunteer Firefighter/EMT for over three decades. After retiring from the private sector, I dedicated myself full-time to community advocacy, especially for the elderly and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Community Service

I spent five years reshaping the King County Metro para transit Access system to include bringing in a new vendor that is more responsive to the rider’s needs. In October of 2018, the Arc of King County awarded me the “Living Our Legacy Award” for the advocacy work I did in changing the King County paratransit system.

As part of my dedication to public health education, I teach CPR/AED and Opioid Awareness classes at Mt. Si High School—empowering the next generation with life-saving knowledge and skills.

Proven Leadership in Crisis

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked in the ER and on the front lines with the Fire Department. I saw firsthand how our most vulnerable—those in nursing homes and adult family homes—were being overlooked. I partnered with the Washington State Department of Health to bring testing and vaccinations directly to these communities, saving lives and bringing care where it was most needed. For this work, I was honored with the King County Fire Chiefs Association “Medal of Merit”, the highest honor the Fire Chiefs award.

Tackling the Opioid Crisis

Today, I’m focused on another urgent health crisis: opioid overdoses. I’ve developed and deliver opioid education and Narcan (naloxone) training to schools, businesses, and the public and secured a state grant to provide free Narcan to the public. My goal is to empower our community to save lives. Business and Financial Expertise

As a former CEO and Board Chair of a publicly traded company, I bring decades of experience in financial oversight and strategic planning. I currently serve on the Snoqualmie Valley Health Finance Committee, where I review financial statements, budgets, and ensure fiscal responsibility. I understand how to balance quality care with sound financial management.

Why It Matters

I’m not someone who waits for others to fix what’s broken. I act. I listen. I lead. My unique combination of medical, emergency response, and business experience makes me the right choice to help guide our hospital into the future.

To the Voters of Public Hospital District No. 4:

It is my distinct honor and privilege to endorse Robert Angrisano in his candidacy for Public Hospital District No. 4, Commissioner Position No. 2.

It has been my pleasure to know and work with Robert Angrisano for the past 10 years. We have been colleagues and volunteer EMTs at the Snoqualmie Fire Department together. During this time we have responded on emergency 911 calls within our community as well as collaborated as EMS Evaluators and Training Instructors for the Fire Department. We have mentored and provided continuing medical education to personnel within Snoqualmie Fire Department. Robert’s level of medical expertise is exceptional as well as his drive to constantly improve his knowledge base and share it with others. He continues to train members of the community in everything from CPR/AEDs and Stop the Bleed to Opioid Crisis Education, Opioid Reversal and Intervention training. I am amazed at just how much he knows about such a wide variety of topics and find myself always learning something new from him. Robert is not one to sit idle if there are community members in need, projects to be worked on or goals to be accomplished.

Robert Angrisano has been nominated and awarded many honors and accolades during his decades of service within Emergency Medical and Fire Services bestowed on him by both supervisors and colleagues alike. He has been an Officer of the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association and continues to serve as a Senior Volunteer Liaison to the Snoqualmie Fire Administration and Officers. Robert is well respected within the Snoqualmie Valley community by City officials, community advocates, business leaders and residents.

Robert currently serves on the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Finance Committee and is a strong advocate for Snoqualmie Valley Health and the Public Hospital District in the Snoqualmie Valley. It will certainly serve the residents of this community well to have a Public Hospital District Commissioner with not only his medical experience but also his strong business and financial background. Robert’s expertise is exactly what is needed for this position. As a long time Snoqualmie resident myself, Robert Angrisano is who I will be voting for!

Respectfully submitted,

Council Member Cat Cotton

City of Snoqualmie Council Position #5
